Better Luck Next Time

I came back..with TONS of bags of goodies for the week. I wake up this morning, to all the sores and cramps thanks to the food hunting and stocking. yes, this is how unfit my physical ability is. Terribly weak. Got plenty of veggies and fruits for the fridge! And some yogurt and healthy snacks for the library cramming session ahead of the week. Again~ Went to church today instead of going on Sunday. 
So, by the time I got back it was about 1.30pm and for my lunch. Initially I wanted to make a tortilla pizza with cheese and bananas xD But I was too lazy to wait and if I had to open the tortilla bag, I would have to use it for the rest of the week since I wouldn't want it to rot. 
I settled for banana toast on jam. Apricot jam at that :)





 
And after about 2 hours of jotting down my necessary notes for Wednesday's OSCE test (some sort of patient-pharmacist interview based test thing) I got myself up to mae dinner. Simple potato and celery stew with korean gochujang. And I wanted to make some pumpkin pancakes/omelettes. Tried to make them into cute little things. FAILED. :(
I got pumpkin scrambled eggs instead. Sigh~ Better luck next time. I'll try this again for my bento, one day. Hopefully soon :)

Soup and Noodles Comfort

Coming back from the library. On a Friday. Tired..Very tired. It's a wonder how I can so dilligently get myself to the library at 9,30am every morning but this morning I was there already at 9am. Since I was up earlier than usual and my lunch was prepared *as shown in the previous post* Getting back, drinking my yummy soup which I had boiled earlier on, and some "kon lou" style noodles tossed with mushrooms and spring onions. Absolute divine.










Nevertheless, food should never compensate sleep.. As much as I love to try to go to bed early, I just can't clear my mind off things to actually fall asleep. It's a terrible and ugly habit. :( Even more so, since I can't sleep later than 7.30am.

Shining Epic Bento!

Now, I hate to brag..But I have to say kudos to myself! *claps hand* This is what I define a BENTO BOX. I made some eggrolls with seaweed and instead of using rice, I had mashed up squash in the middle. Friggin' genius! Came up with it myself xD No wonder I couldn't sleep. Food was constantly haunting my mind.

And for dinner tonight, I had porridge made with squash and carrots. Thanks to my sore throat, I have to stick with more milder foods. :( As my side dish, I have steamed chicken in wine and fucuk and chinese wolfberries to sweeten it up. Topped it with chinese mushrooms. Uhm, LUSH~ :)
